Us
Since 2009, David and Wendy have had the joy and privilege of caring for children in the Carson Valley community. What began as a small in-home daycare licensed for six children has grown into two wonderful childcare centers that now serve nearly 100 children combined. Today, we care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, providing a loving and enriching environment where little ones can grow, learn, and thrive.
As a family-owned and operated program, Little Discoveries was built on the values of trust, connection, and community. David and Wendy bring together both heart and expertise: David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and oversees the operations of our centers, while Wendy, who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology, helps guide our programs with her deep understanding of how children learn, grow, and develop emotionally.
Their daughter, Meaghan, serves as our Licensed Director and is a vital part of our family team. Meaghan has been working with young children for over 16 years and is currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, with plans to continue on to a Master’s Degree in ECE. Her experience, passion, and dedication to early learning are reflected in everything we do, from our classrooms to our curriculum.
We are blessed with a team of caring, talented educators—many of whom have been with us for years. Each team member brings their own unique skills, warmth, and experience to the classroom, helping us create a safe, welcoming space where children feel valued and loved. At Little Discoveries, we believe that childhood should be full of joy, curiosity, and wonder. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where every child can discover, explore, and grow at their own pace—supported by teachers and caregivers who truly care.
