“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” -Fred Rogers

Our first priority at Little Discoveries is providing a safe, clean and stimulating environment for your child. Our experience tells us that children learn best in a structured and predictable environment. At Little Discoveries we know there are many opportunities in your child's day that have the potential to be learning moments. We are excited about facilitating those moments through our daily activities and pre-school curriculum. To that end, the daily schedule consists of age-appropriate, timely movement through different experiences that include:

  • Learning Centers

  • Circle Time

  • Indoor and Outdoor Play

  • Art

  • Story Time

  • Meal and Snack Time

  • Rest Time

In addition, every child will be assessed every six months. Little Discoveries uses the Ages and Stages Questionnaire - Third Edition, which is a series of short questions covering developmental stages such as Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving and Personal-Social. Our curriculum is developed to meet your child's social, cognitive, language, emotional and physical needs. We look forward to serving you and your family!
